Choose a preferred position and photograph the whole wall and ground, including nearby doors or windows.

  • Naturally sheltered from rain and direct sun.
  • Check ventilation and protection from vehicles.
  • Choose a dry position under cover.
  • Keep openings and gas equipment clear.
  • Allow clear access for installation and servicing.
  • Avoid blocking a narrow path.

Check your proposed spot

  • Solid and sheltered. Choose a solid wall or suitable base in a dry spot, sheltered from direct sun and rain.
  • Nearby openings. Show doors, windows, vents and drains in your photos.
  • Nearby equipment and materials. Include gas meters, gas pipes, timber structures, fences and stored items.
  • Clear access. Leave space for airflow, installation and servicing. Keep walkways clear.
  • Vehicle access. Show nearby parking spaces or vehicle paths.
  • Room behind the wall. Tell us what’s on the other side, such as a bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom or laundry.

Your installer will confirm the final position, clearances and protection for your battery model.
